First class had fun doing some experiments to explore how things move!

First, the children got into groups and worked together to figure out as many ways as they could to move toy cars. They got creative, using their hands, pencils and rulers to push the cars but also building ramps and even blowing on them!

Next, we carried out a “pushing” experiment using pieces of string and three different balls of play dough – one small, one medium and one big. We predicted which piece of play dough would stop moving first. It turned out the big one was the last to stop but it was very, very close!
