Suggestions for use: This virtual tour is approximately 45 minutes long and tells the story of the 1916 Easter Rising through the artefacts on display in the National Museum of Ireland's 'Proclaiming a Republic' exhibition, which was in the Decorative Arts and History Museum at Collins Barracks from 2016 until 2020.
The resource also contains a set of Teachers' Notes, which can be used to enhance the learning experience. These highlight each stop of the tour, and include questions and classroom activities.
There is also a short survey of the Teachers' Notes which can be used to offer the Education and Outreach Team at Collins Barracks any feedback to improve this resource for students.
